Sadly, I've come to the conclusion, that hers is a New Age Jesus, and not the Jesus revealed to us in Scripture. Listen to the poem that accompanies her 'Jesus the Missing Years' painting:

"You are the breathing survivor
of spiritual perfection
in the sevenfold universe..."

What is the 'Sevenfold Universe'? Well, google it for yourself and see. It is NOT Biblical, but Theosophical, a blatant, New Age, demonic belief system. The very thing we were warned against falling prey to in Scripture!

Take a look at her 'Enlightenment' painting. It is a picture of a Hindu Swami and this is what Akiane says about the painting:

"The Enlightenment is not only about the Hindu worship and prayer, but about all of us finding our own way to spiritual enlightenment, peace and contentment."

Did not Jesus himself say, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father, EXCEPT THROUGH ME."

Any promotion of any other way to God is completely incompatible with the teachings of Jesus Himself!

On the homepage of her website, Akiane also links to her brother Ilia's webpage of his poetry, paintings and "Quantum Philosophy". Check it out for yourself and see if what is being promoted is Biblical or New Age?

If Akiane truly encountered Jesus in all His glory, would she be pointing people to OTHER ways??

Please, my brothers and sisters in Christ....be careful! We were told there would be false Christs, false prophets, and demons appearing as angels of light. We were told that the very elect would be in danger of being deceived. Please pray for wisdom and discernment.ColoradoMomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18338604437346247120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34540062.post-50657983339929867752013-05-04T18:53:37.831-04:002013-05-04T18:53:37.831-04:00To the first person commenting, Amen! Do I think her paintings are new agey? Yes. Is she talented? Yes.Does it automatically make them christian just cause SHE says they are? No. Is there a reverence to the Word of God? No. Does she quote scripture often in her appearances and books? No. Truth is, anyone can come out and talk about the same things and many have. Does anyone, anyone know scripture these days?!? Cause the Bible clearly admonishes us to test the spirits, to NOT believe every spirit. For crying out loud the main and most emphasized sign or the end times that Jesus Himself spoke of was deception. 1 Corinthians 9 speaks of "another Jesus...another spirit" of Satan coming as an angel of light. Has Christendom become THAT non-discerning to where we believe anything that looks, smells, and feels like its God?!? I am not gonna judge this girl's heart, but it doesnt take a rocket scientist to know that our authority should always be tested by the Word of God. And some of her quotes...are very ecumenical. We recently heard a TV interview with Jonathon Cahn which sparked our interest and quickened our spirits as it correlated with the insight from Revelation - a series of sermons on the entire book of Revelation verse by verse - we have received in the past several months. This is the sense of the impressions of my soul received by the Holy Spirit since the morning of 9/11/2001. God is calling for a return to Him especially of those who believe in Jesus Christ to also repent of their mediocrity, be instruments of revival and spread the gospel. The Harbinger is essentially a historical account reflecting what God has spoken in scripture. I hope it reaches and impacts our nation, the USA, as well as the world to heed the warnings for the ultimate purpose of an eternal relationship with our God, our Savior Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.Blessed Assurancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04201514751055947547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34540062.post-15301835605604743252013-03-01T21:02:55.306-05:002013-03-01T21:02:55.306-05:00let he who is without sin cast the first stonelet he who is without sin cast the first stoneAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34540062.post-91726896996379778682013-02-06T22:46:39.497-05:002013-02-06T22:46:39.497-05:00I do believe God uses all things for His glory. Through paints and poems others have taking a look at their lives and choosen God. I wish we could all find a way to walk upright and trusting perfectly in Him, however that will not happen because we are all broken, hence the reason we need Him. The church is His bride. We are broken people still trying to attain Him through our many different ways. I just want to know Him more. I pray God continues to bless her, and may she continue to grow in her personal walk with Him.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11091812441104762212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34540062.post-27004647110620500192012-10-05T18:23:19.378-04:002012-10-05T18:23:19.378-04:00Good afternoon, thank you for a really enjoyable w...Good afternoon, thank you for a really enjoyable weblog, I do not invariably add comments but enjoyed your post and so felt I'd say many thanks > Summer
My web page - datingAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34540062.post-13022676153259825592012-10-01T20:45:05.941-04:002012-10-01T20:45:05.941-04:00When I was in College I took a Ethics course which...When I was in College I took a Ethics course which had us debate abortion from both sides. Each and every time it came down to a simple question. When is a life a life? Since the laws were determined in Canada there have been signifigant changes in Medical Technology. This gives us more insight into answering this question. Babies are being born at staggering younger and younger gestational ages and living. This debate MUST be re-opened. How can we stand by with new and incredible knowlege and just ignore it? Would we do that if someone had the cure for Cancer? I sure hope not! Regarding a womans right to choose ... You do have a right ... to choose to keep or not to keep a BABY. Adoption is the option. Or better yet ... DONT HAVE SEX if you dont want to get pregnant. What about the rights of the 50% FEMALE aborted babies? Her works have inspired me to become a Christian and go to a church... even though it rings true when she says that everybody must find the way to the light at their own pace.

she has some amazing poems that do seem divinely inspired - so strange and yet talk to you after a few readings. She was visited by a Hindu swami and painted a picture of him, raising the ire of some Christians. But as she said, he was obviously a holy person.
Here i am reminded of the pharisees criticizing Jesus for breaking rules and so on...

Scripture and dogma versus a spiritual experience, the latter wins every time.
I too have met swamis and Buddhist monks, and some give off a real calm strength. If Jesus were here now, I sure he would have a few words to say to those christians who are so eager to discount our intuitions about spirituality and be closed minded about the possibility of spirituality in other faiths.

The truth in the end is more amazing than we can imagine, I beleive. AKiane points to this in her works "quantum universe" and "creation of the Universes" . she says she was shown there are several universes. So we have parallels with advanced physics and astrophysics here.
her painting of a road to a white house (a vision of heaven) shows weird colours, as she says "that we dont see on earth" which parallels the accounts of those who have had Near Death Experiences.

it must be remembered by Christians that she forces no-one to beleive her visions... although she is challenging because of her purity, Christians should continue as they wish, and not try to make her conform to their vision of things. I read the first blog you sp...Thanks for your post. I read the first blog you spoke of, and I share the author's concern with the extra-Biblical material in the book. However, "Heaven is for Real" was not written as a theological treatise about heaven. It's about a child's recollection of what happened to him, whether a physical experience or a vision. I would tend to give a little more grace here and not assume any malicious intent on the part of the pastor and his son. I don't find it contradictory to Scripture, as, often, we are given a glimpse of heaven at a specific time. I tend to agree with one of the commenters who quoted Paul: "Now we see but a poor reflection, as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known." I also agree with part of what the author said. Scripture is the final authority, and wherever someone contradicts Scripture, the error is on the side of the individual, not God's Word. However, sometimes God's Word is descriptive - not prescriptive. In other words, there are times when Scripture speaks of an event in descriptive terms and not saying that this is how it is and always will be. Sometimes we can over-analyze things. I believe that this is not a Biblical commentary, but a description of a real event in a child's life - perhaps with errors of memory or transmission.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12172321458416805858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34540062.post-44085888714077879652012-08-03T00:37:11.885-04:002012-08-03T00:37:11.885-04:00I have just read the book recently and I thought i...I have just read the book recently and I thought it was very encouraging. I thought how he approached these things his son was saying very wisely. He didn't lead him on, he asked questions and tested scripture with it. Yet I have since gone online to see what other people thought of it and found a lot of controversy surrounding the book. A lot of people rave about it, some despise it as all lies, and site what they claim are discrepancies. One site wrote a whole list of things that she saw were contradictory to scripture: http://momsinneedofmercy.blogspot.ca/2011/03/heaven-is-for-real-astounding-tale-of.html I have also seen arguments about how Colton pointed to his palm to show where Jesus' Markers were and not to his wrists where we know historically they would have placed the nails. I would be interested to know what you think in regards to these arguments. Another website I read, http://thebereanlibrary.com/archives/1802, had quite a depressing/bitter take on the book and the comments section held a quite vehement argument about the book's validity. What do you think?Majialeihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01893015344355425498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34540062.post-8401392625490217922012-07-29T10:04:24.483-04:002012-07-29T10:04:24.483-04:00Thanks for sharing Penny.
